Meeting point
Our Free Walking Tour in Madrid takes place every day (rain, shine or snow). Just come to our meeting point at Puerta del Sol Square (Equestrian Statue of Carlos III) at 10:45 and look for the green OGOTOURS umbrellas. The guide will ask for your name to check you in for the tour.
If you are coming by metro, SOL is the name of the station where you need to get off. Metro lines 1, 2 and 3 and Cercanías lines C3-C4.
Please Attention! Some companies come frequently to the square with green umbrellas, trying to confuse our guests with the wrong tour. DO NOT ACCEPT IMITATIONS, look for OGOTOURS!
What will we see?
Our Free Walking Tour is based on your satisfaction. At the end of the tour, you can decide how much our work was worth and tip the guide.
It is not strictly necessary to book but it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. To guarantee quality in our tours we offer small groups (max 15 pers.) so we recommend booking as early as possible.
Our guides will be at Puerta de Sol (first stop) at least 10 minutes after the beginning of the tour. You can join them if there are free spots!
Madrid is a big city but the tourist center is very compact. Distances among monuments is small. Nevertheless our tour lasts 2,5 hours
Usually we do not stop for a break during our tour except in exceptional circumstances. At the same time, during the tour there will be opportunity to use a bathroom or buy a coffee.
Our Free Walking Tour in Madrid is accessible for wheelchair travelers
We are in Spain but that does not mean that the sun shines all year. In Madrid winters are cold so don´t forget to bring gloves, winter cap, anorak, etc. Summers in Madrid are hot so we recommend a broad-spectrum sunscreen and light clothing.
Our tours run in all weather conditions (rain, shine or snow).
We finish our tour at the Royal Theatre, very close to the Royal Palace and Puerta del Sol (meeting point)
